Villa Angelo

I love everything about this lovely old stone house, perched on a hillside in Motovun in Croatia. It belongs to Ben, a friend of my husband Archie; he and his family have spent years restoring it - building cupboards from reclaimed timber, sourcing original copper baths - and it's finally available to rent (it sleeps six). Every detail - from the glass table lamps to the shade of green on the bedroom walls - is in the best possible taste and has me itching to redecorate. For prices and availability, visit the very smart new website. Pictures: Villa Angelo.

Seersucker tablecloths

Nice quality, good value cotton seersucker tablecloths in really great colours, from The Linen, Lace and Patchwork House. The Madras-like "multi" colourway (not pictured) is my pick. From £15. Pictures: LLPH.

Falcon Enamelware

The great British company Falcon Enamelware - makers of sturdy white-with-blue-trim pots and things for kitchens since 1920 - have revitalised their brand and range and, honestly, I would like one of everything. And their website's lovely, too. Thanks to Beatrice for the tip off. Pictures: Falcon Enamelware.

Whistling kettles

Few things are more cosy than the sound of a whistling kettle on a wintry afternoon, particularly when you're drying off in front of a fire after a snow-swept journey home. I'm on the lookout for a new kettle, and my shortlist includes this practical one from Riess, this sturdy Le Creuset number, and this shiny Wesco kettle that reminds me of the one we used to take camping.

Vintage Vie

Very nice tea towels from Vintage Vie.

P.S. they do lovely stockings, too, if you're in the market for a new one.

Devotion

Devotion, run in Camberwell, is definitely aimed at people mad on yoga (not me, then), but I do like this reversible, hand-block-printed bag, little marble bowls for sea salt, and thick, stackable glasses for coffee.

The French House

Beautiful things for farmhouse kitchens (or for people who live in Shepherds Bush, and long for a farmhouse kitchen) from The French House.

Garden Trading

Traditional glassware from Garden Trading, the like of which I remember seeing in my great-grandmother Lorna's kitchen.

Summerill & Bishop

My all-time, hands-down favourite ever kitchen shop, Summerill & Bishop has just opened its online store. Which means I will spend the rest of today struggling to do anything other than browse pots and pans, and dream of kitting my kitchen out in vintage French linens, terracotta bowls and bone-handled knives...

Linens

I already own more tea towels than I would need for a lifetime of washing up - but still I hanker for these crumply, frayed vintage linens from Pale and Interesting.
