Sarah Raven

I love Sarah Raven's Kitchen and Garden, the online shop of the brilliant writer, cook and horticulturalist. It's stocked with the things Sarah loves and uses in her own home at Sissinghurst, including lovely bits for picnics, like enamel mugs and campfires, really good floristry kit and vases, and everything you could possibly need for your garden. Petersham Nurseries

Excitingly, Petersham Nurseries, one of my top five shops in the world, has launched an online catalogue of the eclectic, beautiful things they stock. I love their mix of luxury and scruffy - from Astier de Villatte wine glasses to rusting garden furniture; and from the finest Italian stationary to stacks of zinc buckets. I pretty much want it all.

Highgrove

It may be aimed at tourists and pensioners, but I think there is lots to love at Prince Charles's Highgrove Shop. I'd choose this orchard mug, an oak spool of twine and this very pretty tea-towel. I've got to think of someone to give this bee house to, also.

Garden Relish

A potting bench, a boot jack and a bucket: sturdy, well-made Christmas presents for green-fingered people, from Garden Relish.

Kew Gardens shop

The designs on Kew Gardens' new range of chocolates, tea, jams and fudge (made for them by Peyton & Byrne) feature drawings of the familiar front gates, the Palm House and other garden landmarks. Very pretty, I think.

Garden Girl

If I were a serious gardener (well, even if I had a garden) I would be tempted to kit myself out at Garden Girl. I'd favour the dungarees (obviously) in toile, stripes and rose-prints complete with knee pads, tool pockets and glove holsters.

The Vintage Gardener

I am completely seduced by everything at The Vintage Gardener - an online antiques store that specialises in love-worn gardening kit: from vintage rakes and mottled zinc buckets and watering cans, to chic Fifties wicker picnic hampers, and perfect hats for shading under while pruning roses.

Gardening kit

Our 2-metre terrace does not warrant much in the way of gardening kit (one trowel, one watering can) but if I ever did have a huge garden to tend, I'd be sure to equip myself for it with some sturdy tools from Labour and Wait.
