Grahame Clarke

These porcelain pieces by Grahame Clarke are just the kind of thing I love. You can order this hare bowl and pheasant jug directly from his studio. Pictures: Grahame Clarke.

Hinchcliffe and Barber

Dorset pottery Hinchcliffe and Barber make lovely hand-painted spongewear and have just opened a small online shop. This large water jug would be perfect on a summer lunch table in the garden, or as a vase for a huge bunch of sweatpeas. It's £45. Picture: Hinchcliffe and Barber.

Such a beautiful jug, very much out of my price range. Picture: Appleby Antiques.

Idyll Home

If I could justify buying any more jugs and baskets for my house (I can't), I'd be very tempted by lots of things in Clare Krier's Shropshire shop Idyll Home. She sells really nice lights and linens, too. Pictures: Idyll Home.

White Horse Pottery

Beautiful glazed earthenware pieces from Wiltshire's White Horse Pottery. Trevor, Rory and John run this traditional pottery from an 150-year-old converted school in Westbury - and I'm going to make a beeline for it next time I'm there.
