Woad Inc

These wool blankets are dyed in Norfolk using natural woad indigo pigment, which they grow organically on the farm there. They're part of a small organisation called Produced in Norfolk which works to protect rural skills from dying out, such as thatching and cider making and wild bee keeping. Picture: Woad Inc.

  1. That is very cool! I was a teenager in Norfolk and it is good to see some good things are happening there.

  2. Hi, I just found your blog when I was looking for Mark Hearld art. Love your selections and focus on artisan quality pieces. I'm from Oregon, so it's really neat to find all these UK-based artists and designers in one spot. Also, thanks for including all the links to various stores, homepages and galleries - it makes it that much easier to browse ^^
