Alicia Paulson

I read about this beautiful sampler kit by the talented Alicia Paulson on Swoon and Sigh. Each letter of the alphabet is in a different font, inspired by vintage lettering books. I absolutely love it - particularly the Q, which is tiny garlanded daisies. I could stare at it for ages. The kit is only $25, which I think is very good value. Buy it here. I love Sarah Raven's Kitchen and Garden, the online shop of the brilliant writer, cook and horticulturalist. It's stocked with the things Sarah loves and uses in her own home at Sissinghurst, including lovely bits for picnics, like enamel mugs and campfires, really good floristry kit and vases, and everything you could possibly need for your garden. Collective noun prints

I'm not really a fan of those ubiquitous "clever" typography prints you see everywhere these days, telling you to keep calm or eat local, or whatever - but I do absolutely LOVE these prints by Woop Studios. This collection is inspired by the brilliant subject of collective nouns, and includes ones I knew (like a murder of crows) and ones I didn't, and am now extremely pleased I do - such as a waddling of ducks, a troubling of goldfish and - the sweetest - a charm of finches. If I was rich I would buy the lot. Wouldn't that be amazing for a child's bedroom wall? Pictures: Woop Studios.

Top, top quality leather sandals from Rondini - handmade in the same family-run workshop in Saint Tropez since 1927. Not cheap, but they do last years.
